SoloBy Kwame Alexander and Mary Rand Hess

Absolutely loved this book. It’s a quick read. The writing has a heartbeat. The story digs right into your soul as you root for Blade to succeed on his journey to find his birth mom, but also to come to terms with his own story. It’s an homage to life’s struggles, the power of music and the religion of Rock ‘n Roll.

It’s written in verse so you’ll fly right through it.
