A Moral Argument for Choice

By Dr. Willie Parker

Dr. Willie Parker’s ‘Life’s Work’ covers a lot of ground in less than 250 pages.  Parker discusses his spiritual and professional journey, and why he became an OB/GYN. He is very frank about what it is like to be an abortion provider in an age where his profession is the target of TRAP laws, harassment, and violence- even death. But most of all, this book focuses on women- why he provides abortion, why he cares for women, and the women who have had an effect on his life and career. Parker takes what is a controversial subject and presents a universal argument- that above all, we should care for women and support and respect their choices. A very worthwhile read!
