Can we just take a moment and appreciate this gorgeous cover?!  This book was so different from the first one in this series (in a good way).  We see Paige dealing with the aftermath of what transpired in the first book and obviously showing some early signs of PTSD.  This is made even more difficult by the fact that she’s the most wanted person in London.  The Mime Order, a congregation of all the leaders of different criminal cells in the city, meets to discuss the continued crackdown on clairvoyant criminal activity by Scion, the government body controlling the U.K.  This book was rife with political manipulation and dangerous deals, all made more sinister by the setting in the criminal underbelly.  We see more of the streets of London, the neighborhoods of other gangs, and the lives affected by Scion’s efforts to stamp out clairvoyant threats.  We also see more of the dynamics between the characters associated with the Seven Dials gang, which is Paige’s home base.  The best part of this book was the twist towards the end, so it definitely demands your attention. To say I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book would be an understatement.  All hail The Black Moth!
