Absolute fun!!! This story follows Gladys Gatsby, a young girl who aspires to be a restaurant critic. When she enters an essay contest being judged by the New York Standard, her essay is mistaken for a resume and is separated from the flock. Soon she is contacted, via email, to do a review of a new restaurant in NYC. But how will she get into the city? Pay for her food? Write the review without anyone finding out that she is just a kid? It’s a blast figuring it all out and Dairman doesn’t make it easy!
Fast paced, good characters, foodie fun. I was hoping for a recipe for peanut pancakes at the back, but no luck! Maybe Gladys could write a cookbook next!
