Astor Place vintageby Stephanie Lehmann

Why read this? If you’re a fan of Mr. Selfridge or Bridget Jones’ Diary, this entertaining novel is for you! A contemporary heroine finds the long lost diary of a young woman coming of age in turn of the century New York City. I found the historical storyline much more compelling than the tired modern spinster trope and particularly enjoyed the historical photographs.
