In “What’s a witch to do?” by Jennifer Harlow, we find Mona MacGregor as a single woman in her thirties. The only difference between her and any other single woman is that she’s a witch. Yes, a witch literally. The kind of witch that uses potions and weird ingredients to fight evil and protect her loved ones. She isn’t only a witch but also a High Priestess of her local coven in the fictional town of Goodnight, Virginia. She’s also raising her nieces after her sister has left. She also runs a bookstore in town catering to all the witch community selling ingredients and books for potions. She seems to be the center of the community and also the envy of the other witches in her coven. However everything isn’t as peachy as it seems. There’s evil in town and somebody has issued an order to kill her. Mona must try to preserve everything together and also keep herself and her nieces safe.
The characters portrayed in the book are very likeable and charming. The story is rather entertaining and it keeps you guessing until the end. If you like anything paranormal and romance, this is the book for you.
